| Offensive and Defensive Performance
Using the outcome of the game and the adjusted offensive and defensive efficiencies for each team, performance indicates (in PTS per 100 Possessions) how each team would have fared against an average team. That is, KU's offensive performance is how many points per 100 possessions KU would have scored against an average defense. This provides a standard performance we can compare across teams. For the exhibition games, I am estimating team efficiencies. For Kansas, I am using the #24 offensive efficiency and defensive effiency from last season, reflecting KU's AP ranking of #24. For Emporia State, I am using the #300 offensive and defensive efficiencies, reflecting a fairly weak team but leaving room for them to be somewhat decent for their lower division. | (pts per 100 poss) | Kansas | Emporia State | Offensive Performance | 124.1 | 88.3
| | Defensive Performance | 87.3
| 118.3 | Comments Kansas was clearly superior on both ends of the court. | Four Factor Analysis(Actual statistics moved to Game Projections table below) What did the difference in this statistic mean to each team? | Scoring Margin Advantage Gained (not necessarily supposed to add up to final margin) | | Statistic Measured | Kansas | Emporia State

| When KU shot, the shot effectively went in two-thirds of the time. When it didn't, KU got the rebound nearly half of the time. You do the math ... a Four Factors thorough domination from the Jayhawks. | | |
