| Offensive and Defensive Performance
Using the outcome of the game and the adjusted offensive and defensive efficiencies for each team, performance indicates (in PTS per 100 Possessions) how each team would have fared against an average team. That is, KU's offensive performance is how many points per 100 possessions KU would have scored against an average defense. This provides a standard performance we can compare across teams. | (pts per 100 poss) | Kansas | Kansas State | Offensive Performance | 140.0 | 113.0 | | Defensive Performance | 94.5 | 106.7 | Comments This was an absolute clinic by KU on offense. They shot lights out and got to the FT line plenty of times to maintain that efficiency. Things were a bit less standout when KSU had the ball, but even then, the Jayhawks were performing better than average. Still, the Wildcats did manage to perform better on offense than they have on average this season, but against a KU defense that's generally rock solid, that doesn't mean they ended up with all that great an offensive efficiency (1.01 pts/poss). This was KU's fourth best overall performance of the season, virtually tied with the Florida Gulf Coast game for third. | Four Factor Analysis(Actual statistics moved to Game Projections table below) What did the difference in this statistic mean to each team? | Scoring Margin Advantage Gained (not necessarily supposed to add up to final margin) | | Statistic Measured | Kansas | Kansas State
