This analysis examines the correlation between a team's winning percentage in each season versus its prior season's winning percentage. The NFL comes up on the shortest end of the stick compared to other pro sports. Very interesting and actually not surprising. At the very least, a winning percentage based on only sixteen games will be a poorer measure of team performance.
